Tonight's ruby was enjoyed at Dilshad Tandoori, in Preston, where they are trying to educate me in the ways of Cisco routers.
A very traditional curry house, much dark wood and sober wallpaper with subdued lighting. Food was good and staff attentive without being pushy, although they were a bit previous brining out the starter course as I was still attending to the popadums (good lime pickle - no woody bits!)
Starter: Prawn Pakora
Main: Chicken Jolfrezi, Tarka Dhall, Mushroom fried rice.
Drinks: 2 pints Kingfisher, 1 coffee
Total cost: £22.20 (all the better as it will be going on my expense account :-)

What the best dressed pub is wearing this year.
The Bay Horse, Bromyard, Herefordshire has won Bromyard in Bloom 2007 Best Decorated Pub.
Thanks to hanging baskets provided by Jean Hounsell there is now a shiny cup behind the bar.
