Swan Lake Park

This afternoon was the first time I'd been to "Swan Lake".

Despite having lived here 32 years and it being all of a mile and a half away along the river.

Lots of wildlife, geese, ducks, swans, coots, even a deer.

Also an awful lot of men wearing waders in little green tents.

A pleasant afternoon's ramble was had.

Four days in Bridgnorth to start my sixtieth year.

 

Staying at the very pleasant Golden Lion. Comfortable room and good beer and breakfast. Interesting local characters.

 

 

 

Steam trains! The Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Gala. Another heritage line ticked off.

Funicular! Bridgnorth Cliff Railway linking High Town and Low Town. I have a hankering to eventually ride every UK funicular.

Ironbridge. Last time I came here was in about February 2009 and everything was absolutely bloody freezing. This time was a lot warmer and seemed to be visiting Steam Punk day.

 

 

 

And a rather nice old National Trust property, Benthall Hall.
